What is Autoimmune Disease?

 

Your body’s immune system protects you from disease and infection. But if you have an autoimmune disease, your immune system mistakenly attacks your body. In an autoimmune disease, the immune system mistakes part of your body — like your joints or skin — as foreign. It releases proteins called autoantibodies that attack healthy cells. Some autoimmune diseases target only one organ. Type 1 diabetes damages the pancreas. Other diseases, like lupus, affect the whole body.

My Story

 

 

I know from experience the pain of living with an autoimmune disease. At an age of 18 I was diagnosed with psoriasis. A disease that is now being classified as an autoimmune disease.

It’s easy to think of psoriasis as just a “skin condition.” But psoriasis actually starts underneath the skin. It is a chronic (long-lasting) disease of the immune system that can range from mild to severe. While scientists do not know what exactly causes psoriasis, we do know that the immune system and genetics play major roles in its development.

Through proper supplementation, lifestyle and diet I am able to have my life back again. Therefore, I am here to help you reverse your autoimmune conditions.

I may request a few more tests to investigate hidden infections or toxins as well.
